Pilot wires

Pilot wires—commonly known by that name in the industry—play a critical role in the stringing process. These wires are manufactured in various configurations and sizes, typically constructed by twisting high-strength steel strands. Their primary purpose is to prevent the conductor from twisting during installation, ensuring smooth handling even across rugged and challenging terrains.

Our stringing and tower erection pilot wires have become essential to such operations across India. Designed for durability, they offer a safe working load of 5 MT and are built to perform reliably in all-weather and all-terrain conditions.

Anti-Twisting Steel Rope (Pilot Wire)

The Anti-Twisting Steel Rope, commonly known as Pilot Wire, is manufactured using high-quality galvanized steel strands. It is available in a range of 9 mm to 28 mm in diameter.

This rope features a hexagonal, anti-twisting, galvanized, braided steel configuration, typically constructed with 12 or 18 strands, and a strand structure of 1x19W or 1x25Fi. It is specially designed to prevent rotation under tension, making it ideal for use in stringing overhead conductors and other tension-critical applications.
